Electric three-way control valves come in two types: combined flow and split flow. They consist of an electric actuator along with a three-way combined flow or three-way split flow control mechanism. Powered by an electrical supply, they respond to standard signals of 0–10mA DC or 4–20mA DC, causing the valve opening to correspond to these control signals. The function of a merging valve is to divide one fluid into two streams. Shunt and merge valves can only be selected accordingly, but when DN≤80, a merge valve can be used for shunting purposes. It can replace two single- or double-seat control valves, saving investment and taking up less space. Three-way control valves are commonly used for regulating two fluids in heat exchangers, as well as for simple proportioning control. Installation instructions for electric three-way control valves: The manual must be read carefully before installation, the relevant power supply must be disconnected, and the installation must be carried out by professional technicians. The valve body and driver must be installed within a vertical range of ±60°C, with at least 30 mm of space above them for installation and removal. The valve body must be located above the coil drain pan to ensure that any drips fall into the drain pan. The actuator can be installed only after the body of the electric control valve has been installed and tested for integrity in connection with the piping. If the driver has already been installed on the valve body, it is absolutely forbidden to apply force to the driver during installation and commissioning, as this will damage the driver.
