How to set up the heating pump line for a reciprocating pump

Two reciprocating pumps that serve as backups for each other, handling crude oil, with the outlet flow rate being adjusted by changing the pump speed. The question is, does such a pump require a heat pump wire? How should it be set up if necessary?
I’ve encountered similar problems as well. I work with screw pumps, which are positive-displacement pumps. Normally, two lines are drawn off after the outlet check valve and before the cut-off valve: one line is connected to the area in front of the check valve, and the other is connected to the area in front of the pump’s inlet cut-off valve. The latter connection is easy to understand; as for the former, in the case of a centrifugal pump, the liquid flows slowly back from the pump outlet to the pump inlet through that line, thereby achieving the purpose of warming the pump. But I’m not sure whether a reciprocating pump can flow in the reverse direction. I asked the people on site, and they said that screw pumps can flow in that direction. If a reciprocating pump can also do so, then this design should be fine
