Rotary vane compressors are noisy by nature; do you mean there is some abnormal noise? If it’s not a strange noise, it doesn’t matter if the sound is loud; check to see if the silencer is damaged.
Under normal conditions, a Roots pump does not produce much noise; however, a water ring pump generates a harsh noise when cavitation occurs. This noise can be eliminated by allowing air to enter briefly and then immediately closing the vent valve. Excessive water supply to the water ring pump can also cause noise.
