I’m conducting experiments using DN25 pipes, with saltwater flowing through them. I want to measure the temperature of the saltwater flowing inside the pipes. Do anyone have any good suggestions? I saw in some forums that it’s necessary to use expanded diameters for the pipes, but there are too many measurement points to do that all the time. Currently, I’m using an infrared thermometer, but the results it provides don’t even have any reference value – the error is simply too large. I hope everyone can give me some advice. Additionally, the temperature range I’m able to measure is between 20-100°C
What? I still don’t understand what that means. It’s used to measure the temperature of the medium – isn’t it enough to just use an insertable thermometer?/
An insert type can also be used. Both direct insertion and counter-current oblique insertion are acceptable. Dilation is not necessarily required.
No diameter expansion is needed. Look for those small thermal resistors with a boss, threaded connection, and an armored core; a sleeve diameter of 10 and an insertion depth of around 15 will suffice.
The inside of the pipe contains fluid under negative pressure; in other words, I use a pump to draw water out of a container at negative pressure, and I measure the temperature of the water in the pipeline
Since the diameter of my pipe is small, I’m not sure whether the insertion depth of the insert type will be insufficient
