I would like to ask about the anti-freezing measures for external heat extraction tubes during the shutdown of catalytic cracking units in winter. Some plants use burning fuel to control the bed temperature, vent the steam drum, and drain the water remaining in the system – how can these methods be implemented effectively while minimizing damage to the heat extraction tubes?

Are you describing the situation where the equipment is shut down and treated by means of a dead bed? In that case, no special treatment is required for heat extraction from the outside
If the catalyst has run out, how should antifreeze be handled?
