With fossil fuels becoming increasingly scarce, humanity should do its utmost to conserve the existing energy resources. This is done both to allow more time for the development of new energy sources and to make a contribution to future generations... In my view, in all non-essential situations, traditional fossil fuels should be avoided as much as possible in favor of new energy sources, especially clean energy sources; this helps to conserve traditional energy while also promoting the development of new energy sources... Energy consumption in sports falls into this category as well. Sports such as racing cars and motorboats do not rely primarily on human physical abilities as decisive factors, and they are often considered “elite sports.” Therefore, it is entirely reasonable to require the use of new energy sources in these areas – for example, Formula 1 races should be phased out in favor of those using biodiesel, or motorboats should be equipped with fuel cells…………
