What is the future of petrochemical plants?

Everyone says that Sinopec and CNPC are great companies, but it’s also said that working there is tough and that it’s difficult to get promoted. Is there anyone among you who works there? Could you share some insights? :)
I almost made it in, but now I don’t regret it at all; no matter what chemical plant it is, the environment there is never good.
The workplace is quite good. You should know that today’s society is one where having connections matters; if you don’t have any backing, you’d better work hard at the grassroots level for a few more years (working shifts), until one day the managers are satisfied enough to grant you a professional title. Think about the number of employees in the oil and petrochemical industry today – there are only a few management positions, and the rest are all workers. The children of the older generation of employees in this industry have also entered the workforce, so it’s difficult to get promoted; those with exceptional skills still have a chance. But don’t hold too many hopes; graduates from various universities are all trying to get into this system. Don’t think that just because you come from a prestigious university you’re special – in the workplace, educational background really doesn’t matter. Overall, it’s quite tough to get into this system without any background; be cautious. .
Either you have the ability or you have connections; otherwise it’s pointless no matter where you are.
I spent nearly a decade after graduating from university; there were many levels, departments, employees, systems, equipment, and problems involved, so it’s not possible to generalize. Anyway, **the energy industry as a whole is quite good; there are many opportunities to learn new things, and it’s easy to leave once you’ve acquired enough skills, since you start off on a strong foundation

The petrochemical industry is definitely a good industry; as society develops, there is an increasing demand for petrochemical products. As mentioned earlier, although CNPC and Sinopec are large state-owned enterprises, their internal environments are problematic, and those without connections had better be cautious. However, it is indeed right to work hard to improve one’s skills; once one has the necessary capabilities, changing jobs is a wise choice. The monopolistic practices of CNPC and Sinopec are shameful, and with the development of society and the diversification of basic chemical raw materials, these two companies will gradually decline!
