Not necessarily; it depends on the local power supply conditions and the requirements of the precision instruments. In areas where the voltage is unstable (most instruments these days come equipped with voltage stabilization devices), or in cases where the instruments have high requirements, UPS units are used. Here we also have gas chromatographs, imported from Agilent, and they don’t require such devices either – it has no impact on the instruments at all.
Protect precision instruments. Some instruments are generally not turned off after being started up, as are other laboratory equipment. For example, fire extinguishing equipment designed for use in laboratories. Laboratory leak alarm devices, and so on.
