It was learned on December 27, 2012, that the environmental impact assessment report for Henan Coal Chemical’s 4 billion cubic meters per year coal-to-gas project in Xinjiang has passed the preliminary review by the Environmental Protection Department of the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, and is now set to be submitted to the **Ministry of Environmental Protection for approval. The project is located in the Jiji Lake Industrial Park in Qitai County, Changji Prefecture, Xinjiang. It was built with an investment of 21.1 billion yuan jointly provided by Henan Coal Chemical Group, Yongcheng Coal and Electricity Group, Xinjiang Longyu Energy Co., Ltd., and Dongyin Enterprise.
