Is there anyone who is very familiar with the manufacturing techniques for zirconium alloy and Hastelloy containers? I’d like to share some experience in this area, regarding 30m³ containers and 100㎡ heat exchangers, etc.!

How does your welding technology compare to that abroad? What is the service life at an operating pressure of 2 kilograms and a temperature of 150°C?
Under such operating conditions, especially when the medium is a highly corrosive substance such as sulfuric acid or hydrochloric acid, it is recommended that you choose foreign brands. To put it bluntly, if you opt for domestic brands in an attempt to save money, you are likely to regret it in the future!
Regarding containers made of zirconium alloys and Hastelloy, the first company in China to produce such products was Xi’an 524 Factory, and the quality of their products was quite good. I heard recently that 524 Factory has been acquired; I’m not sure what’s going on there. Their technical skills are excellent, but their management is a bit weak. There are several factories in Nanjing that are also good at this field; Nanjing Baose Ti, Nanjing Zhongsheng, Nanjing Smike, etc., can handle it, and the quality of their products is quite acceptable. Of course, Shanghai Senson (a Japanese-owned company) had some difficulties in its early days, but thanks to development over the past few years it is now performing very well; it’s just that the prices are a bit high. These factories have all manufactured equipment for acetic acid or acetic anhydride production; most of the materials used are zirconium alloys and Hastelloy, but the raw materials (including welding materials) are imported from abroad. In 2008, Baose Ti seemed to have manufactured a heat exchanger using domestic zirconium materials; it’s not clear what the results were.
It seems that the original poster is asking about the processing technologies for equipment used in the production of zirconium alloys and Hastelloy in China, rather than the quality of these materials in China. Of course, it appears that Baotai in China is capable of producing zirconium materials, but Hastelloy still has to be imported; there is no domestic production of it

Some well-known large domestic companies have considerable experience in manufacturing such special materials. However, if the owner has no financial concerns, they can opt for imported ones; overall, there are relatively fewer issues that may arise later on.

It is more economical to manufacture these precious metal devices domestically using domestic materials. If the materials (including welding materials) are imported from abroad and manufactured domestically, the \"quality, cost, and delivery time\" will be far inferior to those when purchasing from abroad.
OP, if it’s storage tanks and heat exchangers, they can be manufactured in China, offering excellent cost-performance. If it is a reactor, considering using an import option is possible
