At its core, the height of the tower is determined by the quality specifications of your product; higher quality specifications mean a greater number of theoretical plates, and thus the tower will be taller – all of this requires calculation. For packed towers, it is also necessary to verify the layout of components such as distributors, liquid collectors, and redistributors inside the tower. Once all the basic design elements are in place, it is very easy to create CAD drawings; don’t try to use the dimensions from CAD to determine the design parameters of the tower!

The tower diameter is determined based on the gas-liquid load inside the tower and the internals used. The tower height = head cover height + packing height + distributor (collector) height + bottom of tower height + skirt height + other heights required by the process. The process conditions require simulation using software such as Aspen and PROII; the gas and liquid loads inside the tower obtained from the simulation results can be used to calculate the tower diameter!
The height of the tower should be determined based on the requirements of your product design as well as the structure of the tower itself. CAD is just a software tool; it has nothing to do with the height of the tower at all
