Request for a brief introduction to the process of Texaco’s gasification slag locking system and its main equipment
The slag locking system mainly consists of a slag tank, slag locking valves, a slag discharge valve, and a slag tank flushing water tank. There are generally two slag locking valves and one slag discharge valve. When collecting slag, pressure needs to be applied to the slag tank; when the pressure in the tank approaches that of the gasification furnace, the slag locking valves are opened. After slag collection is complete, the slag locking valves are closed to relieve pressure in the tank. Once the pressure has dropped to normal levels, the slag discharge valve is opened to discharge the slag. After slag discharge is finished and the slag tank has been flushed, the slag discharge valve is closed again, and pressure is applied to the tank, starting the cycle over.
Slag discharge in the coal gasification process is intermittent, carried out according to a scheduled slag discharge program. The slag locking tank process system consists of a slag locking tank, a slag locking flash tank, a slag pool, a slag locking tank circulation water pump, programmable valves, and corresponding instruments. The slag lock tank is located at the bottom of the gasifier, and it is connected to it via pipes and two shut-off valves. The slag lock tank is connected to the slag pool by a shut-off valve. For the most part of the time, the two slag locking valves at the top of the slag locking tank remain open, allowing the ash and slag formed as a result of combustion in the gasification furnace to continuously fall into the slag locking tank. At a predetermined time, a slag discharge procedure is initiated to remove the coal slag; this is the control of the slag discharge process in the lock-hopper system. :lol
Do the slag locking flushing water fill and the slag locking flash evaporation fill refer to the same pressure vessel?
