Are there significant technical challenges in co-producing methanol from coal and natural gas?
There should be no major problems; both are mature technologies, and proper control is needed during valve timing
Which is the most well-known company in this industry in China at present?
As far as I know, there are no coal gasification + natural gas conversion methanol plants in operation in China at present. Zhumadian Blue Sky Group is using UGI gasification to complement its existing natural gas methanol plant; the feasibility study was conducted in September of this year, but it’s not clear what the progress of the project is now
