Gentlemen: How is the heating area for a compound fertilizer furnace calculated?
The furnace is about 1.8 meters tall. The calorific value of coal is around 5,200 kcal, and the heat required is 4 million kcal. What size furnace is needed? I earnestly ask the experts for their guidance! Thank you!
I’ve done some calculations: if the total heat amount is correct (measured on a lower calorific value basis), 6.8 m2 is required for anthracite, and 6.35 m2 for bituminous coal.
