Recently, we conducted training on pipeline stress analysis, focusing on pipelines such as those at high temperatures and those connected to sensitive equipment. There are mainly static stress and dynamic stress. Pipeline stress is primarily addressed through material optimization and proper arrangement of supports and hangers. Pipelines are subjected to various loads, such as internal pressure, external pressure, their own weight, external forces, wind loads, seismic loads, thermal expansion and contraction, and pipeline vibrations. Mechanics of materials is the most important; it is basically the theory of mechanics of materials. The software for stress analysis is CAESAR2; I am not very familiar with it yet. I’m a beginner; does anyone have any good advice to share? :)
Mechanics of materials is very important, but it is also necessary to understand some aspects of structural mechanics and elasticity theory. Personally, I think it’s necessary to understand the classification of stresses and the various verification criteria; only then can adjustments be made in a targeted manner. Experience is of utmost importance – by doing more, asking more questions, and thinking more, one will gradually understand it. I’ve only been doing stress analysis for a few months; I understand it a bit now. We can exchange more ideas in the future

After CAESAR II is installed, in C:\Program Files\COADE\CAESAR II 5.00\C2_Docu, there is: Quick Reference Guide; Applications Guide ; User Guide ; Technical Reference Manual. Take a look at the materials above; with some more practice, you’ll be fine: lol
