I’d like to learn about the current advanced corrosion monitoring/detection technologies as well as the available equipment; please help out a lot:handshake

As far as I know, Honeywell is quite well-known, and its products are used in many refineries of Sinopec. In 2005, Honeywell officially acquired the American company InterCorr International Inc. Headquartered in Houston, USA, InterCorr specializes in corrosion monitoring instruments, testing and consulting services, as well as the development of predictive corrosion software and laboratory research. Honeywell’s Corrosion Control Division offers comprehensive corrosion solutions that range from products and software to consulting and services, helping customers address various complex corrosion issues such as stability assessment, corrosion management systems, fault diagnosis, process optimization, material selection, and corrosion control engineering. The clients span sectors such as oil and gas drilling, pipelines, refineries, power plants, steel mills, research laboratory facilities, chemical plants, aerospace, ports, and storage and transportation facilities. Honeywell’s patented SmartCET series of corrosion transmitters enables real-time online monitoring of corrosion rate and pitting. In addition to online monitoring instruments, we also provide advanced laboratory equipment for corrosion testing and research, including autoclaves, stress rings, slow tension testing systems, high-pressure reference electrodes, and flow cell systems. At the same time, Honeywell also offers a range of software for corrosion prediction, risk assessment, material selection, and asset management.
Sorry, one question: is Honeywell currently used widely by Sinopec? As far as I know, corrosion monitoring systems are widely used at the Shenyang Institute of Metals, but sometimes the after-sales service falls short. Additionally, the corrosion online detection technology independently developed by Shengli Refinery is also performing well and is in use at this refinery as well as at Cangzhou Refinery. In terms of performance, foreign products are naturally better, but the Metal Research Institute has made rapid progress in recent years, covering resistance, inductance, and electrochemistry; the gap with foreign products is narrowing. The Victory Refinery uses relatively old technology, still relying on resistive probe online monitoring, but it is the cheapest option. Additionally, many refineries that process high-acid crude currently use hydrogen flux detection to monitor high-temperature corrosion, with fairly good results. Well-known companies abroad for online corrosion detection include InterCorr (acquired by Honeywell), Nanocorr, RCS, etc. The main domestic agents for these products are Honeywell (China), American Thermoelectric, Guangzhou Yianda, Ceyno Jingyuan, and others.

For the corrosion protection of equipment, the corrosion coupon method is commonly used; for online monitoring, there is online corrosion analysis provided by the Shenyang Institute of Metals.
