There are many types of heat exchangers; please specify which one you mean
Generally, the repair of heat exchangers requires a lifting station as well as space for other equipment and tools; removing the core from a heat exchanger also needs space, and this space should not be occupied
It must not be occupied; if it is, how can repairs be carried out? For heat exchangers, the internal heat exchange tubes are relatively thin, so problems arise after just a few years of operation, which makes maintenance necessary. Moreover, refineries need to undergo comprehensive maintenance at regular intervals; if the space required for such maintenance is occupied, the maintenance cannot be carried out, and it becomes unclear whether the equipment is reliable or not. If it is leaked, it cannot be maintained, and the entire system has to be shut down. The loss will then be significant.
It shouldn’t be occupied. For heat exchangers, after operating for a period of time, they need to be cleaned, inspected, maintained, and serviced; sometimes the tube bundle has to be removed. If the maintenance space is occupied, it becomes impossible to conduct inspections; or even if one knows where the problem lies, it is still not possible to fix it.
Occupancy is strictly prohibited. After being in use for a period of time, the tube side or shell side of the heat exchanger will accumulate dirt; during cleaning, the head of the heat exchanger must be opened to remove the heat exchange tubes (by core extraction). Therefore, a space for core extraction must be reserved when installing the heat exchanger.
The space designated for heat exchanger maintenance is off-limits. . .
If the users don’t object, they cut the pipes off as well during repairs (I guess no user wants to spend extra money and time on repairs): lol. It can be occupied
In case of absolute necessity, minimize the use of such facilities; if their use is unavoidable, consider designs that allow the pipes to be removed during maintenance, without affecting other production processes.
