Do any of you have any opinions on the corrosion testing of crude oil before treatment and after treatment? Is it necessary to set up corrosion monitoring points when the budget is limited?
It should be set up so that the removal efficiency can be monitored.

I agree with what was said above; there is no need for corrosion monitoring. It is sufficient to conduct analyses of salt and water content, as well as sulfur and acid value levels in the crude oil before and after dehydration. If possible, Ni, V, etc. can also be considered.
It depends on the type of crude oil you are processing; if you are working with highly acidic oils such as Dhahran crude, you can use corrosion coupons to monitor the corrosion rate
Is the corrosion coupon used to monitor sulfur corrosion or acid corrosion? The temperature at this location is around 150, so these two types of corrosion should not be severe.
I agree with the person above; the temperature here isn’t high. If economic costs are a major concern, there’s no need to do it again.
