Question: How to determine the installation height of a reboiler?
Is high precision also required for this? I guess it should be sufficient as long as the volume and the location of the inlet are determined
The installation height of the reboiler is primarily determined by the type of reboiler, such as siphon type, in order to meet the requirements for circulation drive force
The circulation volume is determined by thermal equilibrium, while the installation height is determined by pressure equilibrium; the density difference and height difference between the inlet and outlet serve as the driving force. Using professional calculation software, HTFS and HTRI are recommended. The installation height of the reboiler generally only needs to meet the piping requirements; the lower, the better. The installation height of the corresponding tower needs to be determined based on the height of the reboiler; in other words, the height difference between the tower and the reboiler is determined through process calculations.
It’s more or less the same whether it’s said or not; everyone knows it’s calculated based on the manufacturing process.
Generally, it should be at the normal liquid level of the vertical tower reactor; specifically, the gasification rate needs to be calculated by entering the relevant piping data in the reboiler module
