Two pipes with different diameters are welded to each other at a 45° angle; how is the size of the opening in the pipe determined?
I don’t quite understand. Could the original poster explain it in more detail?
Tubes with a smaller diameter should be cut into 45-degree sections, which are then used to create a template on the larger tube. The areas shaped using this template are removed, the surface is trimmed, the sections are joined at the correct angle, and welding is performed to complete the process. Do you understand?
I would like to remind that it’s not clear what type of pipeline the owner is using, what the pressure is, what the working medium is, and what the diameter difference is. If it’s a chemical-resistant pipeline, it’s not recommended to weld it in this way, as the resulting structural strength is poor and the pipeline is prone to damage.
It should be explained more clearly; otherwise, one won’t know to consider that aspect
