The methanol catalyst in our plant’s 200,000-ton-per-year methanol production facility needs to be replaced (with NC307) during the annual maintenance. I would like to ask everyone: what should be injected during the catalyst deactivation process before the old catalyst is removed? What are the values for system circulation rate, pressure, and catalyst hotspot temperature? How much air needs to be added? How long does the entire passivation process take? Thank you!
What needs to be added during passivation before catalyst discharge? Strictly control the oxygen addition amount. Prevent sudden temperature spikes. What are the values for system circulation rate, pressure, and catalyst hotspot temperature? A system circulation volume of 60,000 Nm3/h is sufficient, with a pressure of 0.5 MPa and a temperature not exceeding 100 degrees. How much air needs to be added? Based on temperature changes, how long does the entire passivation process take? About 32 hours
