It has been two years since production stopped; now that I’m operating the machine again, the total copper content in the copper melt is 1.90, while the content of high-purity copper is 1.65. There’s very little low-purity copper present. I would like to ask everyone: how can I quickly restore the composition of the copper melt and increase the copper ratio? This is urgent – I’ve been operating the machine for almost three days now, but the results have not been satisfactory. Please help me. Thank you!
Cu(NH3)2Ac + NH3 + CO → Cu(NH3)3Ac •CO. ① This process is connected to the carbonization or decarburization stages, thereby reducing the CO2 content in the raw materials. ②Appropriately reduce the amount of liquid ammonia added. ③Slightly increase the regeneration pressure. ④Control or adjust the copper melt bypass to the reducer to increase the reduction time of the copper melt. ⑤Reverse the operation of the copper pump with low flow rate to increase the circulation time of the molten copper. ⑥By appropriately controlling the reduction temperature, lowering the temperatures in the regenerator and the reflux tower, CO desorption from the copper melt in the reflux tower is reduced, thereby enhancing the reducing effect of CO on higher-valent copper and increasing the copper ratio.
1 Add electrolytic copper to increase the total copper content and reduce the amount of high-valent copper. 2 Shut off the reducer bypass line to increase the flow rate of copper melt reduction. 3 Slightly increase the CO exhaust concentration, keeping it within the acceptable range of no more than 1.5%, in order to increase the reduction of high-valent copper
Increasing the reduction amount is the key.
This is how driving the process originally worked: by following the suggestions from the first and second floors, and after repeating this process for a while, the composition of the copper melt will naturally improve.
In a situation like this, normal production is certainly not possible; the plant has to be shut down for 2 years. The system enters an O2 state, and there is significant ammonia vaporization. The following measures should be taken: 1. Use a certain volume of gas containing high levels of CO to pass through the copper scrubber, in order to maintain system pressure at an appropriate level, and carry out intermittent venting; 2. Forceful circulation of the copper melt is implemented to increase the circulation volume ; 3. Continuously analyze the composition of the copper melt, and add ammonia and acetic acid ; Be sure to add an adequate amount as calculated ; 4. The system controls the temperature of the regeneration system according to normal production conditions, and appropriately reduces the outlet temperature of the regenerator. 5. At the same time, it is essential to ensure that there is electrolytic copper in the copper tank; if possible, add the electrolytic copper to the regenerator. ——The road is long! It is difficult to increase the copper ratio in a short time; take it slowly. The CO content in the feed gas can be increased appropriately, while also increasing the circulation volume of the copper melt
