I would like to ask experts: is it necessary to carry out simulated post-weld heat treatment for welding test plates?
Clarify what the test plate is for – to evaluate it? Product test boards? Product type?
Welding test plates for general high-temperature chromium-molybdenum steel equipment.
Generally, test plates need to be heat-treated in the same furnace as the product, followed by NDT and mechanical property tests. If the product itself does not require heat treatment after welding, then the test plate also does not need it.
