How should we prevent freeze damage to steam traps in winter? They often get damaged due to freezing
The main reasons for the freezing of steam traps in winter are too low a steam discharge rate or too low a temperature of the steam. It is recommended that the person in charge adjust the steam discharge rate or the steam temperature appropriately; this should resolve the problem of steam traps freezing.
If the length of the short section of the steam trap is large, insulation should be added.
A heat preservation and anti-freezing device should be designed for the steam trap. It is used in the design of chemical plant utilities!
