I am not very familiar with the level of oil processing in our country. In particular, what are the differences between China’s oil processing capabilities and those of large foreign oil companies? What are the advantages? Everyone can discuss it.
In terms of resources, it’s best to use domestic ones as little as possible and encourage imports. In terms of technology, foreign technologies should be gradually replaced, but the progress is very slow. As for management, everyone is aware of it

All that foreign exchange reserve doesn’t belong to China; it’s like a bank where most of the money is deposited by others and can be withdrawn at any time. Technically speaking, I think adopting other people’s technologies is the better approach. How many more years will there be of oil available in the world?
Currently, the main gaps between China’s refining industry and that of the international level include smaller plant scales, higher energy consumption, inadequate technical management, and unreasonable allocation of resources. At present, our main advantage is monopoly (but this is not a sustainable solution); the priority is to turn this advantage into a resource that drives technological upgrades and development in the refining industry, thereby enhancing its competitiveness from a market perspective.
The degree of localization of refining technology is relatively high; the next step is to increase the scale and concentration of refining facilities. The level of refining technology is close to that of foreign countries, with some technologies even being exported overseas.
