Are there any manufacturers of granular alkali in the country at present? What technologies are they using, and what is their current operational status? # ， ， &
Our factory installed a caustic soda production unit a few years ago, but it stopped operating shortly after it was put into use. I’m not quite sure of the exact reason, as I hadn’t started working there at that time; it seems it was due to low demand from downstream industries. I’ll ask around for you later
We have a production line for flake caustic and granular caustic, which primarily uses evaporation concentration and crystallization granulation processes. Due to the low selling price of these products and high operating costs, this line has been shut down.
Shaanxi Jintai has a caustic soda production facility with an annual capacity of 50,000 tons; it is made by Swiss company Böhtler. The facility has just been put into operation, but it is not functioning properly. Xinjiang Tianye has also installed a set of equipment, but it has not yet been put into operation
As far as I know, the main companies in China that produce granular caustic soda are Jinhua Chemical (Group) Co., Ltd., Tianjin Hangu Hejia Chemical Co., Ltd., Tianjin Jinhua Chemical Plant, Shanghai Chlor-Alkali Plant, and others

Shaanxi Jintai’s (50,000 tons per year) granular caustic soda plant has just completed its commissioning; equipment from the Swiss company Botz was used in this process. Although there were many issues during the commissioning phase, experts overcame these difficulties and managed to produce China’s first batch of granular caustic soda, which was successfully approved in the **inspection process. Judging from this operation, China has not yet fully mastered the production technology for particulate alkalis. Although production was managed to proceed after the foreign experts left and qualified products were produced, some of the problems that arose could not be resolved, and the production cycle is short! The products manufactured by Tianjin Jinhua Chemical Plant and Shanghai Chlor-Alkali Plant have relatively coarse particles, while Xinjiang Tianye is in the process of construction!
