1. V&M (Mannesmann, Germany) specializes in large-diameter, thick-walled seamless steel pipes. Carbon steel, alloy steel, and stainless steel can all be produced. The maximum outer diameter can reach 1000 mm, and the maximum wall thickness can reach 100 mm. At present, the factory’s production schedule is quite full, resulting in longer delivery times. 2. JFE (Japan) mainly produces seamless carbon steel, alloy steel, and stainless steel pipes of DN400 and below. Currently, the prices of the P11, P22, P5, and P9 furnace tubes produced by this factory are very competitive. However, the main technical issue is that no hydrostatic tests are conducted; only non-destructive testing is performed. 3. SUMITOMO (Japan) produces hot-rolled seamless steel pipes of DN400 and below, as well as large-diameter forged pipes. Carbon steel, alloy steel, and stainless steel pipes can all be produced, but the prices are high and the delivery times are long. The factory does not conduct hydraulic tests on steel pipes; only non-destructive testing is performed. 4. BENTELER (Germany) mainly produces small-diameter seamless steel pipes (below DN150), especially highly alloyed small-diameter pipes, offering good quality and price compared to imported pipes. 5. TUBOS REUNIDOS, S.A. (TR/PT, Spanish Tubes United Company, Spain) This group consists of two steel tube manufacturing plants. PT mainly produces large-diameter, thick-walled steel pipes made of carbon steel, alloy steel, and stainless steel, with a maximum diameter of 20” (DN500). TR mainly produces small-diameter seamless steel pipes made of carbon steel and alloys. 6. TENARIS DALMINE (Dalmine, Italy) The group owns several steel pipe manufacturing plants, but in the Chinese market it mainly sells steel pipes produced by its DALMINE plant in Italy. The Darmin plant is capable of producing full-size seamless carbon steel and alloy steel pipes, but its main strength lies in large-diameter thin-walled steel pipes. 7. DMV (Germany, France, Italy) This group has steel pipe factories in Germany, France, and Italy. It mainly produces hot-rolled stainless steel seamless pipes, with a maximum diameter of 8” (DN200). 8. TUBACEX (Spain) mainly produces hot-rolled stainless steel seamless pipes, with a maximum diameter of 8” (DN200). The price is lower than that of DMV, but it doesn’t enjoy the same level of recognition in China as DMV does.
