In process design, what issues should be given the most attention? I would like to ask the more experienced colleagues
Please don’t ask such vague questions; no one can answer them! Process design involves so many aspects, and the issues of focus vary at different stages! It is recommended to first take a look at the experience-sharing and principle-related posts posted by so many people on the forum; I believe they will be helpful to you.
Process design involves too many aspects; it’s hard to explain in just a few sentences. It depends on what type of design you want to undertake, and you need to look for relevant information in that context.
Focus on the most fundamental issues: mass transfer, heat transfer, distillation, and so on
Equipment layout, general layout for transportation, pipeline layout, and so on.
Before asking questions, learn to search; there are many resources on forums sharing experiences in this area, and you can find them by searching. It’s difficult for others to answer questions that are too broad!
There are many issues related to process design. If you put it so generally, no one can answer. It would be best if you read the four books in the \"Petrochemical Process Design Manual\"; after reading them, you will know what knowledge you need to master. I won’t ask such questions again then. Personally, I think there’s so much to learn in terms of manufacturing techniques. Even the most experienced workers in the company have only worked on a few types of equipment. Basic knowledge is very important; it’s also crucial to determine one’s own career direction and to keep working hard to improve one’s skills!
Where can I find this book? Is it on the forum? Why haven’t I seen it?
