The water consumption for producing 100 units of diaphragm caustic is approximately 4 tons, with a total electricity consumption of around 2,750 kWh. Steam consumption: 3.5 tons; salt consumption: 1750 (raw salt)

It can’t be that high; a unit with such figures should be considered obsolete. The salt consumption is 1630, electricity consumption is 2470, and steam consumption is around 3200. We think this is still quite high, and there is still room for improvement.

The operating parameters of our factory’s 30-Ⅲ type electrolyzers at a current density of 1.8 KA are as follows: the amount of water used per unit time is 3~4 t/t; AC power: 2450–2490 kWh per ton; motor power: approximately 100 kWh per ton ; Steam consumption: 0.07~0.9 t/t for electrolysis, and about 2.95~3.15 t/t for 42% caustic soda. Note: All of the above are hydrotalcites.
