I once saw a software for 3D pipeline design; I can’t remember it. Does anyone know which one it is? This post was last edited by HaiChuanDeFeng on 2007-12-3 17:56.]
It seems to be PDSOFT! :lol
There are many software options for 3D pipeline design; the more popular ones include the foreign-based PDS and PDMS, as well as AutoPlant. Of course, PDsoft, a domestic product, is also used by smaller design firms.
I’m learning *PDMS; it seems to be very powerful
We have used Autoplant before; it was quite good.
Does anyone know the download link? Please send it if you do, thanks!
It can be downloaded using eMule, BT, etc.; there’s no need to know the download address, though it takes a relatively long time
Product Introduction to PDSOFT 1. What is PDSOFT? PDSOFT is short for Plant Design Software, that is, 3D factory design software. It is the registered name for a series of computer-aided factory design systems developed by Beijing Zhongke Fulong Computer Technology Co., Ltd., systems that possess complete independent intellectual property rights. It includes the main professional design software used in plant design, such as PDSOFT 3DPiping (a 3D piping design and management system), PDSOFT P&ID (software for designing process control flow diagrams), and PDSOFT Layout (software for designing overall process layout plans). These tools are used to create installation design drawings and as-built drawings for production plants, including ISO drawings (empty pipeline views), PLAN drawings (plan, elevation, and sectional views), BOMs (comprehensive material lists, process pipe section lists, insulation material lists, etc.), prefabricated pipe section drawings and material lists, as well as plant model renderings (rendered images, hatched views), and more. 2. Development Process: The PDSOFT products are based on various achievements from the CAD Open Laboratory at the Institute of Computing Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences. In 1995, Beijing BPEC Computer Company took the initiative to collaborate with the Institute of Computing Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, to develop the PDSOFT 3DPiping software for 3D pipeline design and management, thus kicking off the development of PDSOFT’s 3D factory design software. Subsequently, the Yangzi Petrochemical Design Institute stepped in proactively and provided detailed requirements for the development of the PDSOFT 3D plant design software. In 1998, in order to promote the achievements of the PDSOFT 3D factory design software, the Institute of Computing Technology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences funded the establishment of Zhongke Fulong Company and invested its intellectual property rights in the company. Subsequently, thanks to the efforts of the company’s employees, the software continued to evolve over another nearly 10 years, becoming a tool with increasingly powerful functions and broader applications. Currently, the PDSOFT 3D factory design software has become the core product of Zhongke Fulong Company. The company is allocating more resources to this software in order to make it more versatile, and it is also actively promoting it abroad. Thanks to the efforts of many people, the development of PDSOFT’s 3D factory design software won the Second Prize for Scientific and Technological Progress from the Chinese Academy of Sciences; it was included in the list of **key new products, and it has also gained recognition from a large number of users. 3. Applications of PDSOFT: Entering 2007, the development and sales of PDSOFT’s 3D factory design software had been ongoing for nearly 10 years, and the software is still in the process of continuous improvement and development. In particular, the PDSOFT 3DPiping 3D piping design and management software has been widely used in industries such as petroleum, petrochemicals, nuclear energy, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, light industry, and machinery. To date, over 1,000 sets of this product have been sold. In 2005 and 2006, sales figures exceeded 10 million yuan for two consecutive years. More than 20 customers made second or even third purchases. PDSOFT software enjoys considerable recognition and influence in the industry, with many impressive success stories to its credit. 4. PDSOFT operates on Windows 95/98/2000/XP operating systems, as well as AutoCAD R14/2000/2000i/2004/2006. 5. Technical advantages: □ Leading domestic technology; some aspects of the technology are at the international forefront. □ Fully independent intellectual property rights. □ Utilizes pipeline-level driving and intelligent line models, resulting in fast modeling speeds and high-quality designs ; □ The world’s leading fully automatic algorithm for generating and annotating ISO charts, increasing work efficiency by ten times ; □ The innovative automatic hiding technology for plan-view sections solves the problem of automatically generating such sections ; □ Accurate and flexible material tracking facilitates construction management and reduces component procurement by over 3%. 6. Service advantages: □ A permanent team of professional trainers who can resolve issues encountered in 3D piping design and guide users in carrying out piping design work ; □ The software can be customized according to user needs (this is difficult to achieve with foreign software) ; □ Support for Chinese standards, industry specifications, and piping design practices to meet the needs of Chinese design firms. 7. Market advantages: □ Has the highest sales volume among domestic 3D piping design software □ Also holds an advantage in competing with foreign 3D piping design software in the domestic market
The PDMS function is very powerful, but it seems to be used very little. I hope to exchange more ideas and learn from everyone*
PDSoft is actually quite good too; almost all the young people in our company use it. It has a comprehensive set of databases, as well as full compliance with domestic standards, making it very convenient to use. It’s the bracket part that doesn’t work.
The Plantspace from Micstation that our company uses
Where is PDMS? It’s hard to get, huh? If any expert could offer some help, I would be extremely grateful!
Our company also purchased the PDSOFT software from Zhongke Fulong recently; the initial price was around ten-odd points, and we plan to buy it again if it performs well. I had been using it for some time before this, and it felt okay. I hope to exchange usage experiences with more experts.
There are many software options, and the best way to learn is with someone guiding you and telling you how to do it. Many foreign companies use PDS and PDMS; it’s best to learn by working on actual tasks. Personal advice: go and learn in a company
SMARTPLANT3D is the latest and most powerful 3D software available; it is an upgraded version of PDS
