The comprehensive revision of the three **standards is underway at Global Company

In accordance with the decision No. 67 issued by the Ministry of Construction in 2004, titled “Notice on Issuing the ‘2004 Plan for Formulating and Revising Engineering Construction Standards’”, China Global Engineering Corporation was tasked with carrying out comprehensive revisions to three standards: the “Code for Corrosion Protection Design of Industrial Buildings”, the “Code for Design of Industrial Circulating Cooling Water Treatment”, and the “Code for Design of Electrical Equipment in Explosive and Fire Hazardous Environments”. After taking on this task, guided by the principle of contributing to and serving society, our company overcame various difficulties such as its busy production schedule and made active efforts to coordinate human resources. The Quality and Information Department organized various standard drafting teams to, in line with the principles of striving for excellence, ensuring quality and quantity, improving efficiency, and seeking truth from facts, carry out thorough and meticulous preparatory work in order to formulate revision outlines for three **standards. In accordance with the revised work plan, the revision of these three **standards began in July 2004, and the drafts for approval were finalized by the end of 2006, taking a total of two and a half years. Thirteen people from our company will participate in this work on revising the national standards. On January 13, 2005, the company held the first meeting to revise the aforementioned three **standards. The meeting was chaired by Wu Qi, deputy director of the Quality and Information Department. Zhang Yongjiu, executive vice president of the company, Yang Jinfeng, head of the Standards and Quotas Division of the Construction Department, and Zhang Tongxing, secretary-general of the Contracting Association’s Working Committee, delivered speeches at the meeting respectively. At the meeting, the participants studied carefully the \"Standardization Law of the People’s Republic of China\" and the \"Regulations on the Preparation of Engineering Construction Standards\". The various standard preparation teams held group discussions to approve the work plans for standard revisions, determined the responsibilities of the members involved in these revisions, and clarified the quality and timeline for such revisions. They also discussed and approved matters related to standard revisions, including the minutes of the meeting.
