What is the diameter of that packing, and what is the amount used? How is it added? Is the filler the same in sulfuric acid drying as in the scrubber tower? # , , &
The packing for chlorine scrubber towers can be made of PVC or CPVC. The filler form can be stepped rings or wreaths. The typical diameter is 50–80. A filler layer height of 4 meters is sufficient. The dosage can be determined based on the diameter of the scrubber tower corresponding to the chlorine flux. Considering the temperature resistance requirement, CPVC can be used as the filler in the sulfuric acid drying tower.
Both PVC and CPVC possess resistance to chlorine corrosion, but PVC has poor heat resistance – it deforms at temperatures above 60 degrees, while CPVC can withstand temperatures above 90 degrees; according to the material specifications, it can even tolerate temperatures up to 110 degrees. Relatively speaking, the price of CPVC is much higher.

A CPVC wreath can be used as the filler
