The polymer dispersant feeding pump can be a plunger pump, gear pump, or multi-stage centrifugal pump; everyone should discuss which type is more stable based on its performance. Our factory uses plunger pumps, and from the perspective of their performance, the air chamber at the pump outlet is often damaged, in addition to severe vibration in the pipelines during material feeding.
It is recommended to use multi-stage centrifugal pumps. When a positive displacement pump is used, pipeline vibration can be quite severe, and pressure buildup represents a significant risk.
Which companies use multi-stage centrifugal pumps? Could you recommend some models and manufacturers? Thank you
Our factory has undergone three construction phases, and we have been using Grundfos multi-stage centrifugal pumps throughout
In China, many people use Grundfos vertical centrifugal pumps with a capacity of around 3–5 m3; they are quite reliable
My previous workplace used plunger pumps, which worked just fine, while the current workplace uses multi-stage centrifugal pumps. The manufacturer is from Da* Yuan. The effect is also very good. A gear pump is used as the dispersant, one manufactured by Chongqing Water Pump Factory, and it performs well.
We use plunger pumps, and the performance is quite good. The heavy vibration in the pipes is probably due to improper operation!
Neither multi-stage centrifugal pumps nor piston pumps present any problems. Centrifugal pumps are not as accurate in terms of flow measurement as piston pumps and gear pumps. The increase in energy in positive displacement pumps is mainly manifested as an increase in pressure energy; they cannot regulate flow through an outlet control valve like centrifugal pumps, and flow regulation must be achieved through backflow control. If the focus of feeding is on increasing pressure, positive-displacement pumps are better than centrifugal pumps; this is why centrifugal pumps are not used in hydraulic systems.
High-quality American centrifugal pumps such as GRAINA can be used, but their mechanical seals are of poor quality
