Is a special qualification required to design the steel structure building for a small chemical plant? We have a small facility for which we intend to use a steel structure; it will be a three-story building with each floor having an area of 6×6. We plan to carry out the design ourselves and then have a construction company build it. But can we indeed design it on our own?
It’s not possible for you to design it on your own; you lack the necessary design qualifications, and the construction authorities will not issue you a construction permit
It needs to be designed by a qualified design firm; if you don’t have the qualifications, you won’t pass the inspection!
Installation qualifications allow one to carry out construction work for installation projects, while design qualifications are necessary to engage in design work. Those with installation qualifications cannot do design work, and those with design qualifications cannot handle installation tasks. In short, each qualification is meant for a specific type of work
