Please help. Currently, there is a heat exchanger in use: the cold inlet temperature is 32 degrees, the hot inlet temperature is 90 degrees; the cold outlet temperature is unknown, while the hot outlet temperature is also 90 degrees. For this heat exchanger, steam is first introduced to carry out heating, after which NaOH is introduced. The cold medium is condensate water, and the hot medium is NaOH. The flow rate is 34.5 m3/h; the cold side pressure is 3–4 bar, while the hot side pressure is unknown. The heat exchange purpose cannot be achieved. Everyone, please help analyze it! There could be many reasons why the heat exchange goal is not achieved. Could the original poster provide more details?
The heat exchange requirements are not clearly specified. Heat source medium? Pressure? Traffic? Cold plain medium? Pressure? Traffic? Who can answer? :L
Based on LZ’s rather brief question, it is most likely that the cold medium is not being used, and the plates have been switched to channels for the hot medium. :lol

1. It seems that the heat exchanger in question transfers heat through the phase change of NaOH. Otherwise, how could the inlet and outlet temperatures of the hot medium both be 90 degrees? 2. LZ can check whether the imported NaOH is in gaseous form? It’s either because the heat transfer calculations are incorrect or there is a problem with the pressure of the thermal medium. 3. There is some truth to what you say. We have also taken into account the issue of insufficient condensate flow!
