The vacuum pump in our laboratory is a single Siemens water ring pump that has been in use for several years; it can currently achieve a vacuum level of -0.096 MPa, which is not high enough. We now want to achieve a higher vacuum level, so we intend to purchase a new vacuum pump system. How should such a vacuum pump system be configured? :handshake
Choose a vacuum pump combination, such as a combination of a Roots vacuum pump and a water ring vacuum pump, with the water ring pump serving as the pre-stage pump.
Could you be more specific? What level of vacuum can be achieved?
With a 3# baby80 rotary pump, the maximum pressure can reach ≤300 Pa when one stage is used, and ≤25 Pa when two stages are used.
