Water source for spray cooling

I recently worked on a project where the client wanted to use the acidic sludge coming from the inclined tube settler, after it had been purified, as water for spray cooling. I was wondering if anyone has experience with this approach, and what potential hazards there might be Spray cooling reduces the gas temperature from 600 to 350 degrees. Several considerations: 1. After sedimentation of the open-circuit acidic waste, will its solid content meet the requirements of the nozzles used for spray cooling, and could it cause blockages? 2. If this is to be done, anti-corrosion measures must be considered for the pipes and valves used for spray cooling ； 3. If the nozzles for spray cooling tend to clog, then consideration should be given to an upstream filter (fine filter), such as a tubular filter (one in use and one as backup).
