Questions about Yamaki electromagnetic flowmeters

Has anyone used Endress+Hauser’s electromagnetic flowmeters in the chemical industry? Our company deals in titanium dioxide, and we used Danfoss flowmeters in the past; after Danfoss was acquired by Siemens, those flowmeters continued to perform well. However, last year we replaced them with Endress+Hauser’s two-wire electromagnetic flowmeters, and they didn’t work properly regardless of the pipe diameter. The fluid being measured was titanium slurry containing sulfuric acid, and the measurements were highly variable and unstable. We followed all the required procedures for installation and wiring, but even the manufacturer was unable to resolve these issues. I’m not sure whether it’s a quality problem with the flowmeters or something else

What exactly is the problem? I work in the chlor-alkali industry, and I have been using Yamada’s electromagnetic flowmeters with no problems.

During measurement, the flow rate fluctuated greatly – there was flow at times and no flow at other times. We tried various solutions such as grounding, but it didn’t work; switching to Siemens products resolved the issue

It shouldn’t happen; one of them is installed vertically, with the fluid flowing upward, so the fluctuations remain significant! Thank you for the teacher’s guidance! ! This post was last edited by zlky2005 on 2007-12-7 11:50.]

For information on flowmeters, you can download it from this address: http://www.azbil.com/cn/products/ia/index.html#1-2. All Yaskawa products are available here, except those that have been discontinued
