Our company currently has a project to produce 150,000 tons of ion-exchange membrane caustic soda per year; the first phase will involve producing 100,000 tons, and I am in charge of the hydrochloric acid synthesis process. The design institute’s recommendation to us is to install 4 two-in-one hydrochloric acid synthesis furnaces with a capacity of 30,000 tons each; 3 of them will be installed in the first phase, with two in operation and one as a backup. I would like to ask my colleagues: which manufacturers in China are good at producing hydrochloric acid synthesis furnaces? The choice of synthesis furnace depends on the production requirements; if hydrochloric acid is to be produced, a three-in-one furnace is recommended, while for the production of hydrogen chloride gas, only a two-in-one furnace can be used. In either case, an operator is needed to manage the furnace in order to ensure stable production.
Nantong Planet’s synthesis furnaces hold the largest market share in the domestic market
Previously, synthesis furnaces were of the two-in-one type; later, three-in-one furnaces (with ignition at the top and bottom) were developed. In recent times, four-in-one furnaces are more commonly used, and those with ignition at the bottom are preferred as positive pressure operation is relatively safer. Planet should be the better choice. It seems that currently manufacturers are focused only on producing furnaces, paying little attention to design improvements or theories related to production processes. Planet is the largest in China, but its technical support for the furnaces it sells isn’t very thorough. It is recommended that Planet’s management pay equal attention to both the hardware and software aspects of its products

It is recommended to use the two-in-one furnace produced by Nantong Planet Graphite – the first such furnace in China in which the furnace body and the cooler are connected vertically. This design was successfully tested in Xinjiang Zhongtai. The diameter of the furnace has increased from 1.2 meters to 1.6 meters, and the type of gas used has evolved from one hydrogen and one chlorine to two hydrogens and one chlorine, all of which reflect technological advancements. If you are simply aiming to produce high-purity hydrochloric acid, you can choose companies such as Liaoyang Carbon Factory, Tai’an Qianwei, and some smaller enterprises in Laizhou. For the production of hydrogen chloride, there are many companies in Nantong – Shanjian and Xingqiu are both excellent choices!
