In production work, I have found that both manual valves and automatically controlled valves are prone to internal leakage. So, what should be done in the case of automatically controlled valves that experience internal leakage? What issues need to be taken into consideration during use? Please share your thoughts!
Internal leakage is a common problem with valves. The only solution is to disassemble them and repair the sealing surfaces. When using the valve, try to keep it in either the fully open or fully closed position to minimize stress on the seals. Do not close the valve manually too tightly. Purchase specialized steam valves from reputable manufacturers (although they are generally quite expensive)
What connects the valve stem to the actuator is a process lock nut; there is a gap between the two sections of the valve stem. Is it effective to use a tightening nut?
