For water with a flow rate of 3 tons per hour, assuming a flow speed of 1.5 m/sec, would the pipe diameter need to be 2.6 cm? Considering that the actual flow speed might be higher than 1.5 m/sec, would a DN25 pipe be more appropriate? ? ? I haven’t done the calculations in this area, so I’m not sure if my calculations are correct ? ? I am working on pipelines for the recycling of continuously flowing water to prevent freezing in winter. Considering both investment and returns, the inner diameter of a DN25 pipe should be around 28 mm. If you know the flow rate, how can you still not be able to calculate it? It’s possible; let me ask you where that flow rate comes from

The recommended flow rate for water is 1.5 m/s to 3 m/s; any value within this range is acceptable
The calculation is basically correct; the result obtained using the formula is 26.6. It is recommended to use DN32 after rounding, to allow for an appropriate margin of safety. :)
The flow rate in water pipes is also related to the pipe diameter; larger diameters result in relatively lower resistance losses, allowing for higher flow rates. For specific selections, please refer to the Quick Reference Manual for Petrochemical Pipeline Design.
