Coking gasoline and diesel hydrorefining unit: The properties of the feedstock determine the amount of heat released; these properties serve as the main basis for determining the hydrogen-to-oil ratio and the reaction temperature. An increase in the olefin content and the dry point of the feedstock accelerates catalyst coking. An increase in impurity levels, especially nitrogen content, requires a reduction in the space velocity or an increase in temperature to ensure the quality of the refined product. High levels of olefins and sulfides result in greater reaction heat, a higher temperature rise, and increased hydrogen consumption; therefore, it is necessary to increase the hydrogen-to-oil ratio appropriately.
