For the longitudinal seams of the cylinder that are covered by reinforcement rings, 100% RT testing is required per standard specifications. However, the reinforcement rings were installed and welded before RT testing could be carried out. What methods can be used to meet the requirements without having to remove those reinforcement rings?
A ultrasonic testing or radiographic testing will suffice.
There’s no other way; it has to be made anew.
Ultrasonic testing should work. . . No need to redo it
