I think that when both leg supports and skirt bases are available, it’s better to use leg supports. They are simpler and easier to install.
As long as the calculation passes, it can be used.
Take a close look at the scope of application for standard JB/T4713-92 supports: 1. Diameter ranges from DN400 to DN1600 mm; 2. The ratio of the cylinder length L to its nominal diameter DN is L/DN
Check the standards; if the calculation is correct, it’s fine.

Are the legs leg-type supports? If the leg-type support does not meet the standards, the design firm can prepare a calculation report; if the report is reasonable and the calculations show that the support is suitable, then there should be no problem. If there’s no calculation value, I really wouldn’t dare to use it this way. :)

I understand now. Thank you all for your guidance; a diameter of less than 1600 mm and a height within 4000 mm will suffice.
If the calculation sheet is reasonable and the calculations pass the checks for the supports, then there should be no problems.
It’s fine as long as the calculations are correct; for example, large spherical tanks usually use legs!
If the calculations are satisfactory, using legs is better than a skirt base – it’s simpler and more aesthetically pleasing, and easier to install, maintain, and operate
Although leg supports can be used through calculations, the manufacturing unit has no right to alter the design created by the design unit; any changes and calculations related to the pressure vessel’s structure must be carried out by the design unit responsible for it. If the manufacturing unit wishes to make any changes, it must submit a design change request to the design unit; such changes can only be made upon approval by the design unit.
