As a supporting project, this crude benzene refining facility has an annual capacity of 80,000 tons. Taking into account factors such as investment costs, operational stability, and product quality, I would like to ask everyone here how to choose the appropriate technical process? Are there any domestic process technologies available in China at present? I hope to get some advice :)
The choice should be made based on the conditions of one’s own main equipment, in order to enable complementary advantages among upstream and downstream devices and make comprehensive use of certain resources. (1) If the hydrogenation refining process is chosen, a hydrogen production unit is required; if the main plant can produce hydrogen as a by-product and the raw material is benzene, this constitutes the optimal combination of process materials. If it is primarily a chlor-alkali plant, with aniline or *** production unit attached, an additional crude benzene refining unit should be installed to handle the raw materials. (2) If extraction refining is chosen, the connection with the main unit is not very significant. (3) Use of pickling process: It can be used in conjunction with facilities for producing high-concentration sulfuric acid as a by-product. Such as BB acid plants, sulfuric acid plants, etc.
What is it supporting as a main project? Hydrogenation of crude benzene is the preferred method; there are no issues with domestic production!

Sure, the hydrorefining technology for crude benzene must be used. **The use of the traditional acid-washing process for crude benzene has been prohibited, and the phasing out of the current acid-washing processes for treating crude benzene is being accelerated.
There are many good posts on the forum; go and take a look!
