We have a total of four gas-fired heaters. During normal operation, for those heaters with a high combustion load, the oxygen content can be kept at around 1-3. However, the two heaters with a lower load (with a gas consumption of around 80 nm3/h) do not have their oxygen content controlled; it can sometimes range from 8 to 12. This is not conducive to energy savings nor to proper combustion in the heaters. Is there any way to adjust this? ?? Thank you
For refinery gas where the oxygen content is too high, the best approach is to adjust the composition of the gas – namely, whether the combustible components such as carbon monoxide and hydrogen can be modified. If this is not possible, the only options are to adjust the conditions of flame combustion, modify the design of the burner, or add supplementary fuel gas.
I think it’s mainly a problem with combustion regulation; getting the right ratio of fuel to air volume should solve it.
A proper choice of hardware is a prerequisite for optimal combustion; what remains is to adjust whether the combustion air is heated. Introducing hot air forcibly can improve combustion. We believe that for gas burners, as long as the right model is selected – in particular, when the total cross-sectional area of the nozzle matches the properties of the fuel and those of the burner – combustion can be optimized through appropriate adjustments. The importance of matching the total cross-sectional area of the nozzle lies in the fact that it is common for too large a margin of power to be considered when selecting a burner, resulting in a significant discrepancy between actual operating conditions and those designed. This leads to low fuel pressure in front of the nozzle, thereby deteriorating combustion
