In the ammonia synthesis decarburization process, low-pressure methanol is used for decarburization; however, there is severe liquid carryover of carbon dioxide from the regeneration tower. Any advice? QQ: 81963201

It is possible to check whether the trays or packing in the regenerator tower are clogged, which could cause the gas to deviate from its path.
Is the foaming severe? Is amine decarburization being used?
Check the drawings to see if there is enough space for degassing
Possible causes: 1. Insufficient defoamer. 2. Broken packing. 3. Blockage in the trays or packing of the regeneration tower; gas flow is misdirected. 4. Insufficient space reserved on the packing and below the tower top, resulting in poor separation efficiency
1. The temperature in the regeneration tower is too high; it should generally be kept between 102 and 106. 2. The liquid level in the regeneration tower is too high; during normal operation, it should be maintained at around 70% only

Filler scaling occurs, flow velocity increases, and the amount of mist entrained increases.
