According to clause 15.4.7.1 of standard JB/T4735-97, silos are generally not subjected to hydrostatic testing but rather to airtightness testing, which must be carried out in accordance with the design requirements. As stated in clause 15.4.7.3, since the pressure used for the airtightness test is very low, no protective measures are necessary. How should these two clauses be understood? What is the lower limit for such a low pressure? Can kerosene leakage testing be used as an alternative to the airtightness test?
It can be done without a leakage test!
Generally, a kerosene leakage test is performed!
