It is recommended that the forum improve its search function, as the current one is not powerful enough; it lacks the ability to conduct precise searches for terms that appear frequently in the forum, resulting in a large number of results that make it difficult to find the desired content. Additionally, searching for repeated posts poses challenges, especially as the forum continues to develop rapidly and the number of posts increases significantly. Could it be improved to include features like “fuzzy search” and “advanced search” found in well-known search engines such as Baidu, or could the “advanced search” option be simplified to “contains the following exact words”?
I wish I could reduce the 15-second search limit, because I have to search every time I want to upload some books; there are books from the forum that can’t be uploaded, and each time I try to search again, I get a message about the 15-second limit – I have to wait
I remember once downloading a standard; I didn’t notice that there was another compressed file package on the second floor. I only downloaded that one compressed file package, and it couldn’t be opened. When I tried to search for that standard using the search function, I couldn’t find it either. I’m not sure what the reason is I hope the forum can improve its search function. As the original poster said, sometimes before sending out information, one uses the search function, but that isn’t very effective. There’s a risk of having one’s wealth deducted if too much information is sent, and it also has negative consequences.
Regarding the search function, we have been making choices – the functions built into the forum are average. Qihoo, which was added on the right side, is quite good; there’s also a GOOGLE option, and Baidu’s one can be enabled as well. But having too many of these options makes things chaotic. I hope the next version of the forum software will be better
