There are two ROSEMOUNT transmitters at the site that suddenly stopped displaying data, but everything appears normal in the control room; the LCD screens have been checked and show no issues. Could this be caused by direct sunlight? Can it be fixed on my own?
Are ROSEMOUNT transmitters part of the 3051 series? You can try replacing it; it’s probably a problem with the LCD screen

It’s from the 3051 series. I tried the method you suggested, and the issue with the LCD screen has been ruled out

Try with a different watch; install this LCD panel! It’s okay, just change it however you like!
Disconnect the transmitter’s connections (including the process connections and the connection to the DCS), apply a 24-volt signal, and check whether there is any display. If no display appears, it indicates that there is a problem with the transmitter; if a display is present, then the transmitter is functioning properly. If it is determined that the problem is not related to the transmitter, measure the voltage between the two terminals (at the transmitter side). It could be due to a fault in the DCS output, a problem with the wiring, or excessive voltage drop along the wires, which results in too low a voltage between those two terminals. Thanks for the answer from above; I’ll give it a try later
1. The DCS reads data properly and the indications are correct on the DCS screen; it can be said that the transmitter is functioning normally. 2. The issue with the LCD screen has also been ruled out. 3. It is possible to check through DCS or 375 whether there are any issues with the display settings of the transmitter function blocks in the meter. There might be an issue with the parameter settings. The problem can also be checked using the diagnostic function block. It can be said to be a minor issue.
I replaced the transmitter and checked it again today; I ruled out faults in the DCS circuit as well as issues with the LCD display. It seems to be a fault with the transmitter itself. There are no conditions available on site to address this issue, so I plan to send it back to the factory for repair. Thank you all for your responses: handshake
